Eleven, Martina McBride’s latest album release is her way of starting over, so to speak.  She recently signed a new contract with Republic Nashville; part of the Big Machine Records family of labels, after her longtime contract with RCA Records expired.  After 20 years of making music, Martina decided she needed something different and Scott Borchetta, CEO of Big Machine Records, was just who she needed to help her with that change.  Martina was soon heading to Atlanta to begin recording and writing for her new album.  She ended up writing more than half the tracks on the album, which gave her a brand new spirit of accomplishment.  “I love songwriters, and I’m not an artist who thinks I have to write everything I record. But people were encouraging me to write and songwriters seemed to want to write with me, so I just decided to really focus and see what came of it. And because of that, this record shows a lot of different sides of my personality. I think it peels back a layer and let's people see more of my personality, especially the playful and fun side.”  “Teenage Daughters” was the debut single for Republic Nashville and fans immediately recognized Martina’s personal stamp in the lyrics.  Over the years, Martina’s career has taken her to tremendous heights; four CMA Female Vocalist of the Year trophies, three ACM Female Vocalist Awards, a Grammy and numerous magazine covers and articles and television show appearances.  Through all of this, Martina still has a few items left on her Bucket List, but as long as she can continue doing what she’s doing, she will be more than elated.
