QueensrÿcheSaturday, March 9, 2013
All it took was a self-titled four song EP to get Queensrÿche on the map! That was in 1982 and two years later they were releasing their first full length album and performing to sell out audiences around the world. They quickly became one of the most respected and creative bands of the 80’s and their 1988 album Operation:Mindcrime became one of the Top 10 best selling concept records of all time. They continued touring and gathering more and more fans along the way. It was 1991’s Empire that finally garnered them huge success. They earned multiple Grammy nominations and won the MTV Viewer’s Choice award for their #1 chart topping hit “Silent Lucidity.” They have sold over 30 million albums worldwide and they continue to break new ground.
They released their debut album in 1989 and, even though MTV gave their single “Someone Like You” considerable exposure, the album just never quite made it to mainstream success. Bang Tango is an American funk-infused hard rock/glam metal band born out of the 80’s in Los Angeles, California. They are an amazing sounding touring machine thanks to the unique character traits of each of its members. The bands newest album release is called Pistol Whipped In The Bible Belt and they feel this is their strongest album since the band formed in the mid eighties. The lineup for Bang Tango is: Joe Leste, Trent Anderson, Lance Eric and Scott Laflamme
