Pink Floyd ExperienceSaturday, March 1, 2014
Annerin Productions has endeavored to bring fans the show they never thought they’d see. They searched the continent for committed and talented musicians who could really do it justice. This was a project that was not going to happen if it could not be done right.
The vision was not to produce a stadium show. In fact, in an effort to create the true Pink Floyd experience it would be just the opposite. Two key factors were at the core of the plan;
• Keep it intimate. Put the legendary combination of music, sound and lights in a theatre atmosphere.
• Ensure the sensual attack of Floyd. Give it a top priority along with the music.
They nailed it. They found the band, the lights and the sound to create THE show for the ultimate Floyd fan, and it’s called…The Pink Floyd Experience.
Tom Quinn (band leader, lead guitar) discovered his love of Pink Floyd in 1973 and has been committed to their sound ever since. He says PFX began in 1994, hit the stages in 1995 and garnered several San Diego Music Awards from 1999 to 2003. Gus Beaudoin (bass) joined Tom in 1997 and they would play Floyd music together anywhere people would let them set up their equipment. Randy McStine (guitar) began his musical endeavor at the age of ten. Recently his work has been used for national television commercials and he was hired to perform alongside members of Yes and Triumph on a tribute album to the Canadian rock trio, Rush. Jesse Molloy (sax) also tours nationally with his group On The One and has shared the stage with many musicians including Karl Denson and The Wailers. John Cox (keyboards) is self taught and has been playing since he was 9. He has been hooked on creating atmospheres and textures with his keyboard sounds. Bob Sale (drums) is Canadian born but calls San Diego his home now. He has been playing professionally since he was 15, working with many musicians along the way and even working on the soundtrack to the movie “That Thing You Do!” PFX’s goals are simple, keep it intimate and ensure the sensual attack of Floyd. “They found the band, the lights and the sound to create THE show for the ultimate Floyd fan and it’s called…The Pink Floyd Experience.”
