Craig Thatcher's Electric Trio-Tribute to the Music of Jimi HendrixSaturday, April 29, 2017
Craig Thatcher's “Electric Trio,” featuring Don Plowman on drums and Wayde Leonard, bass & vocals, accurately captures the excitement, energy and most importantly, sonic expression of a 1960's Jimi Hendrix concert so vividly you might think you stepped back in time. From the exciting sounds of “Are You Experienced” through “Axis: Bold As Love,” and on to “Electric Ladyland” these songs are guaranteed to bring back some great memories of awesome times. You'll also experience selections from “The Band Of Gypsy's” as well as Jimi's “Electric Church” music with the “Gypsy Sons and Rainbows.” This is not a tribute act in the sense of dressing up, acting like or playing Jimi's solos note for-note. Rather, the band captures the Hendrix style and sound and adds their own interpretations to this timeless music.
