13 years ago, touring/recording veteran Marc Muller (Shania Twain, Bruce Springsteen, Van Zant, Tommy Shaw) assembled a cast of world-class musicians to present two iconic Grateful Dead records, Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty, at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA. He chose to perform the music in a totally unique – never done before way. Note for note, all instruments and vocals as released, that launched his project Dead On Live. Since then DOL has broken all the rules in Grateful Dead tribute scene by recreating virtually all of the Dead’s commercial releases, as well as some of their more notorious live productions, note for note……Dead On…….Live!
DOL is thrilled to return to Penn's Peak with acoustic and electric sets featuring some of the more adventurous, deeper Dead cuts from their vast catalog. Sing-alongs like “Ripple”, “Box of Rain”, richly orchestrated and complex Dead with “Weather Reports” and “Help/Slip/Franklin”, steel guitar drenched “Looks Like Rain”, staccato sax stabs of the rarely played “Let Me Sing Your Blues Away” and of course, fan fav rockers like “I Need a Miracle” and “One More Saturday Night”.
Dead On Live is multi-instrumentalist Marc Muller (guitar, pedal steel, vocals), PA Bob Weir “Ace” Jimmy McGuigan (guitar, vocals) Keith keyboard clone John Pittas, Erica Muller capturing Donna’s unique vocal nuance, Paul Avrutin tackling the rootless syncopation of Phil’s idiosyncratic bass lines and the deep Dead grooves of drummer Dave Anthony, with special guest multi-instrumentalist John Martin. These musicians come together to create this unique, “needle-to-vinyl”, never before heard, live Dead experience. But of course, remaining true to the Dead’s spirit of freedom and sonic exploration, DOL always provides plenty of improvisation and good old Grateful jamming to get the kids to dance and shake their bones!

Tickets can also be purchased at Roadies Restaurant and Bar hostess stand during normal business hours (walk up only-no phone orders). All tickets purchased are subject to a transaction fee.
Penn's Peak, a beautiful mountaintop entertainment venue located in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, can comfortably host 1,800 concertgoers. Enjoy a spacious dance floor, lofty ceilings, concert bar/concession area and a full service restaurant and bar aptly named Roadies.
At Penn's Peak, we have a unique membership club called the "Sneak Peak Club". One of the many benefits of being a club member is the ability to purchase tickets prior to the general public on-sale date. We have a Sneak Peak Club coordinator available to take all ticket orders from club members.
Unfortunately, by agreement, we are unable to conduct phone transactions for tickets. In order to avoid Ticketmaster charges, concert tickets can be purchased in person at the Penn's Peak Box Office or at Roadies Restaurant & Bar.
If you plan on seeing more than one show a year at Penn's Peak, you may want to consider our Membership Club. The Sneak Peak Club offers members the privilege of ordering via email or over the phone, while avoiding all Ticketmaster fees!

Penn's Peak generally has two types of shows: Reserved Seating and General Admission. For a general admission show, the seats are first come, first serve and you may sit anywhere!
